I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver. – Maya Angelou
I’ve always felt that it’s vital to give back to your community be it your intimate family or the larger community of this amazing planet we inhabit. If I wasn’t able to help others, I would feel incomplete. There are many causes – locally and beyond – that are close to my heart. Below I will introduce you to some of them and I hope if they inspire you to support them or to seek out others in your world, then I’ve done my part to help make this world a better place.
Traveler’s Rest Equine Elders
TREES is home to many equine elders. Did you know if a horse receives the proper care and attention they can live into their 40s? It’s true. This place is a haven for so many deserving elders. They have come to TREES for many reasons and they have a home until they decide to cross that Rainbow Bridge.
Animal Rescue Foundation
One of our sweet dogs was adopted from ARF and they are doing amazing things. Please find your local animal shelter if you’re looking for a place to volunteer your time, donate your hard-earned dollars, or bring home a forever friend.
Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep
It’s a long story how I came to find NILMDTS but has been one of the causes closest to my heart. This is a national organization with whom I volunteer my photography services when needed. No, it is not easy to do this work but this work is not about me. This website is for families who have lost an infant or young child. All photographers work discreetly to give the family a memento of their loved one.
