Mount Vernon Farm Grass-Fed
Our journey to Mount Vernon Farm started when my husband Mike – then a chef – decided to intern at the farm to become a better chef. Well, he stayed. We couldn’t be happier working with the Miller family to provide clean, healthy meats to our customers on a family farm since 1827.
We raise 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef & lamb, pastured/soy-free pork and eggs. The animals are raised holistically and humanely without the use of sub-therapeutic antibiotics, hormones, or chemical inputs. The farm practices planned rotational mob grazing to increase the health of the soil, and therefore, the animals in a way as close to mimicking “real” nature as possible. There are only a small handful of us that work on the farm so we take care of everything from feeding to marketing to delivering and more. It’s work but it’s good work and we get to make positive differences in the lives of others.
Mount Vernon has an on-farm store that is open Fridays from 1-5 and Saturdays from 11-4. Deliveries are available to Richmond, Fredericksburg, Stafford, Leesburg, Reston, Annandale, Arlington, and Alexandria.
Mount Vernon will have a new website soon but in the meantime you can find us at:
